We’re excited to introduce Group Access, a new optional feature designed to give you more control over who sees which clinician metrics within your PracticeVital account. Note, this feature is enabled for Admin users only.
What is Group Access?
Group Access is a new user role that allows an admin to give certain users access to view metrics for specific groups of clinicians only—not the entire team. It’s perfect for situations where a supervisor needs to see metrics for just the people they manage, without viewing data from other supervisors' teams.
How It Works:
First, check your clinician groupings: Go to Settings > Clinicians and review the tags you've inputted for each clinician's Primary Location, Supervisor, or Type (as relevant for your practice), or click "edit" to add or change them. These groups allow you to more easily categorize and filter to subsets of your clinicians as you review metrics in PracticeVital.
Next, assign certain users access to select groups: When adding a new user in Settings > Users & Permissions, pick "Select Clinician Groups Only" as their role, and select which group(s) the user should have visibility into. Selecting multiple groups means the user will see all clinicians from both groups.
When Should You Use Group Access?
Group Access is especially useful when:
A supervisor needs to track performance metrics for their direct reports but not other supervisors’ teams.
An office manager needs to view metrics only for the location they manage, without seeing data from other offices.
A clinical lead oversees both a supervisor group and a specific clinician type (like interns).
We hope Group Access makes it even easier for you to manage your team’s data, and even invite more of your staff to use PracticeVital with you. If you have any questions, just reply to this email or reach out to support@practicevital.com. We’re here to help!
