Clinician Overview
Clinician Metrics is your directory of all your clinicians and their key performance metrics. Group clinicians for comparison, or click through to see a deeper look at an individual clinician.
Each clinician has a consistent set of key metrics – average weekly sessions, total completed sessions (compared to goal, and as a utilization %), clients seen, cancel rate, churn rate, retention rate, and outstanding notes from sessions that occurred during this window of time. Click the “i” pop ups for a definition of each metric, and target thresholds to consider.
Features and functionality:
Change the View: There are two view settings – a collapsed table or expanded cards. The data is the same in each view, but the collapsed view allows you to sort your table by any of the metrics (ascending/descending).
Change the Time Frame: Select a preferred or custom time frame and your metrics will adjust accordingly. Note that Churn and Retention Rates require longer time frames to present meaningful data, given it takes time to observe the duration of care for recent intakes. Learn more about churn and retention.
Group by: Select the option to group your clinicians by Primary Location or Supervisor. This may help you organize your data more easily, or draw different insights around performance. You can set up this feature within Settings, or learn more about editing clinician categories.
Download: Click the ‘Download’ button to export individual files for the clinicians and time frame of your choice. Consider sharing a downloaded report with your clinicians on a regular cadence to build accountability. Learn more about how to roll out PracticeVital with your team with our Therapist Guide.

A few things to note:
The “i” next to each metric provides a definition and thresholds based on industry standards. You can adjust these thresholds in Settings.
The green, yellow, red cues help you quickly assess performance based on those thresholds.
